We price every job after we have seen the property, because two lots that look similar from the street can be very different once you walk them. These are the factors that move the number.

- How long will a paver patio last?
- Built on a proper base, decades. The failures you see around town are almost always base failures, not paver failures, which is why we spend most of the job on what is underneath.
- Can you fix my existing patio instead of replacing it?
- Sometimes. If the base is sound we can lift, re-level and re-lay sections. If the base failed, patching it usually costs nearly as much as rebuilding it right, and we will tell you which one you are looking at.
- Do you build retaining walls?
- Yes, including the drainage behind them, which is the part that keeps them standing. We will tell you if your wall is tall enough to need an engineer's stamp.
- What is rip-rap for?
- Rip-rap is large stone placed to stop erosion and slow water down. It is the right answer for ditch banks, slopes and drainage outfalls where grass will not hold.
